Other tools charge cents per scan because they only tell you what's wrong. fepo's per-audit price looks higher — but every audit includes subsetted fonts1, a cleaned CSS file, converted WebP/AVIF images2, an SVG sprite3, a CSP suggestion, a three-phase GDPR consent test and a before/after localhost sandbox4. You're not paying for a report. You're paying for the fix.

  1. 1 — Font subsetting requires self-hosted fonts; Google Fonts served via CDN are resolved from our local master-font cache where possible.
  2. 2 — WebP/AVIF conversion covers first-party PNG/JPEG/GIF images; images served from third-party CDNs are out of scope.
  3. 3 — SVG sprite is built when the page has at least 5 external SVG files; below that threshold the overhead of a sprite outweighs the savings.
  4. 4 — The before/after sandbox and CriticalCSS generation are Pro and Agency features; Starter plans get the audit itself plus downloadable assets.

Frequently asked questions

How is fepo different from PageSpeed Insights or Lighthouse?

PageSpeed and Lighthouse tell you what to do ("reduce unused CSS"). fepo does it for you and hands you the cleaned CSS file, subsetted fonts, converted WebP/AVIF images and SVG sprite — ready to deploy. Audit + fix, in one package.

What's the three-phase GDPR check?

We load your site three times: (1) with no consent and check which trackers fire anyway, (2) after clicking "Reject" and check whether trackers still fire (the #1 GDPR violation under Art. 7 para. 3), (3) after clicking "Accept" for reference. No other tool does this — most only cover phase 1.

Do you store our website data?

HAR files are recorded with content: 'omit' — we never store response bodies. Audits stay in your account, hosted on a dedicated server in Germany with encrypted storage. GDPR Art. 17 deletion cascades to all files.

Who builds fepo?

Michael Pehl — 16 years of front-end performance work, the last three focused on building auditing tools that actually deliver the fix instead of pointing at the problem. Based in Rostock, Germany.

Can I white-label the reports?

Yes — Agency-plan customers can set a custom logo, which appears in the portal and in the reports your clients see. Custom colors and a dedicated subdomain are in preparation.

What if a site blocks Playwright?

We have a backup system for cases like this. You always get a report.
